- Take client referrals from Crown.org and/or from their local church
- Help clients understand their beliefs and behaviors about money
- Help clients learn what the Bible says about money and possessions
- Help clients create a budget, get out of debt, and get on the road to financial flourishing
- Be a genuine follower of Jesus who has a living, vibrant relationship with God
- Be active in a local Christian church congregation
- Have a genuine love for people and a passion to see them grow in their relationship with Christ while gaining financial peace
- Willingness and ability to coach online through virtual meetings
- Be generous and organized with their own finances. This includes having lived on a budget for at least 6 months, and, if in debt, working toward paying off debts. They also need to be actively saving for the future.
- Be comfortable using a computer including email, Microsoft Excel, virtual meeting platforms (Zoom, Google Meet, etc.) and web-based online learning tools
- Be committed to not solicit business from a client for personal gain
- Be a resident of the U.S. or Canada
This training includes online coursework and virtual meetings with a Crown Budget Coach Trainer.
- Complete an online application and Budget Coach Agreement. You will receive a phone call from our Vetting Coach.
- Once approved, your Pastor or Spiritual Leader will be sent an Authorization document to sign electronically.
- Upon completion of the first two steps, you will be notified of upcoming training course schedules.
- Complete all coursework and attend all training sessions.
- Final certification as a Budget Coach requires Trainer approval.
Complete the Crown Budget Coach Training Course.
- Eight 2-hour virtual meetings. You must attend all eight sessions to complete the course.
- A minimum of 3 hours of homework between meetings.
The cost of this course is $150. Upon completion of the vetting process, you will be sent a payment link.
As a Crown Budget Coach, you will:
- Complete Bible Study material identical to what your clients are assigned.
- Learn how to use Crown's financial forms.
- Complete five case studies of fictitious clients with trainer feedback on your proposed solutions.
- Participate in robust class discussions.
- View Inspiring "dig deeper" videos to deepen your understanding.
You decide when you are ready to accept a new client and how many to coach at one time.
- Work with at least two new clients annually. Each client typically takes three months to complete all 7 lessons and should not exceed six months.
- Before each meeting, spend 1-1.5 hours reviewing Bible Study and practical application work.
- Schedule meetings, send emails, and pray for your client(s).
- Participate in Crown Coach meetings, held virtually four times a year for 1-2 hours.
- Keep new client availability calendar updated regularly.
- Respond within 2 days to new client requests.
